The other day I was driving along and happened to glance into my rear-view mirror in the professional way that I, being the expert driver I am, have trained myself to do every half hour or so. To my horror, there was a huge pickup truck less than one inch from my bumper. The driver was pulling a terrible face and it looked like he was trying to show me the little scar or something on his middle finger.

Lord only knows how long he had been back there driving crazy like that. Eventually he apparently became convinced that I wasn't going to pull over and look at his finger and so he down shifted and went roaring by me mouthing words I couldn't understand.
