Marketplace >> Listings >> Found Art - Fish From Car Hood<< Return
Date posted: 08-Mar-2010
The found art fish, patterned after a flounder, is recycled art made from the hood of a car. The steel fish sculpture or fish folk art is also a form of car art. Note: This is not suitable of outside use. We will be coming up with a series for outside decorations by spring time. It has a clear coating. There are a number of names for this kind of art. According to Wikipedia, found object (French: objet trouvé) or readymade-describes art created from the undisguised, but often modified, use of objects that are not normally considered art, often because they already have a non-art function. Marcel Duchamp was the originator of this in the early 20th century. Each fish will come with a signed letter of authenticity. As more and more people collect my decorative art, the value will increase. This is an investment art that you can use and when needs be, even sell. It is my hope, that even in my life time, the pieces I am selling now will sell for many times their purchase price. Each piece is unique although similar to this sample. We will send actual photo of each fish prior to closing the sale to make sure the color of eye and other features are acceptable. To see more art from Jonathan Steele, go to http://www.JonathanSteele-Artwork-Gallery.com All available art can be purchased with ITEX Contact us if your interested in multiple purchases about the possibly of the art being delivered by the artist. This is the last of the series, most of them selling at the Connecticut Barter Fair. Keywords: found art fish, recycled art, flounder, steel fish sculpture, fish folk art ![]() |
