With the Olympic Mountains as a backdrop, Blue Heron has it's own private beach on Hood Canal, where Oysters and clams abound on the beach, and in season crab, shrimp and a large variety of fish are available off shore.
Washington's capital, Olympia is a 30 minute drive to the South from the resort, and the towns of Port Townsend and Port Angeles are only about one hour North, with a Ferry to the historic city of Victoria, BC from Port Townsend. The Pacific Ocean beaches are within 90 minutes to the West, and Seattle is 3 hours Northeast.
