Moringa is a plant most popular in Asia, African, and India.
Many doctors and scientist will tell you that it's probably the healthiest plant on the PLANET, and it's used to provide vital nutrition in many poorer countries.
It's fast growing, and once established, requires VERY little care. If planted directly in the ground, its tap roots can go down 10-20 feet so it doesn't require watering or fertilizing.
If grown in pots, then you need to keep the soil moist but not water logged.
The plant can grow up to 10 feet in a single growing season, but I recommend pruning the plant to 8 feet or less to make it easiest to harvest.
ALL parts of the plant are edible including the leaves, bark, seed pods, and roots.
I was first introduced to the plant during a visit to the Philippines in 1986, and have been eating it as often as practical ever since.
You can eat the green leaves (raw or cooked), or you can dehydrate the leaves and use the powder in a variety of dishes, smoothies, sprinkled on salads, etc.
