Excellent retreat and good place to transition if you're looking for somewhere more permanent it helps to be nearby and situated above 17 between San Jose and Santa Cruz.

Fully furnished, choose from main room guest bed or sleeping loft. I'm in a separate bedroom. Rent includes everything so no surprises. Wifi and utilities, linens and towels, bed, Shared kitchen and bath and generally shared home. Large 6-drawer dresser, bathroom drawers and 5' of clothes hanging space. Washer and dryer.
It's surprisingly Quiet here. Work from home... if you like, cook, write or just relax on the deck in the sun or under the umbrella or under magnificent stars at night... or wander this amazing mountain.
It FEELS like we're far away from anywhere- quiet and forested but it's only 12 minutes to Los Gatos. I get to 17 in 6 minutes at Bear Creek directly above Lexington reservoir. It's an easy 20 to Campbell or San Jose. You'll get to the beach or airport in about a half hour. Take 17 or wind down mountain backroads; stop in Bounder Creek for sushi, coffee, the Italian bakery... hit multiple wine tasting options or grab groceries without seeing city if you're not in the mood.
Spectacular views, high ceilings, skylights, open kitchen w granite counter, large shower, W/D, Wifi, Woodstove and wall heat/AC. Good Verizon cell reception. Storage for your belongings; wide open parking.
Ya gotta be ok with winding mountain roads. The 10 switchbacks between highway 17 and here make it feel much farther than 12 minutes to the bakery on Main St. Easy access from both directions on Skyline, Black Road, Gist Road and Bear Creek close to Summit. Easy trip to civilization and easy to wind down the mountain to Santa Cruz or Bonnie Doon up the coast.
Staying here is a wonderful adventure. Many wineries nearby... 16 miles to an art/ceramics workshop, a theater... much closer to groceries and every kind of restaurant.
Garden if you like, hike, bike, adventure or rock climb at Castle Rock 6 miles from here, run on quiet backroads or trails, photograph, write, or work out on TRX, stability balls, weights and nature. Borrow my German Shepherd for a hike if you want company. LOTs of activities nearby.
I also OWN A GYM in town with 7-day and 30-day passes, 17 minutes away that offers 24 hour access, showers, towels, all the equipment you need, AND Massage Therapy, Stretch Coaching and of course Personal Training. We specialize in anti-aging movement programs, treating pain and injuries, improving posture and flexibility and weight loss coaching.
It's an easy Yes to take a week vacation or "work from home" here to refresh your whole system.
