Our Mission
What sets us apart from other organizations is our unwavering commitment to serving the entire state of Connecticut, ensuring that furniture and household items reach those in desperate need. Unlike other programs, our approach is direct—your donations go straight into improving someone’s quality of life without intermediaries. We believe that everyone deserves a safe, comfortable place to call home, and our mission is to make that a reality for as many people as possible.
We find it heartbreaking that there are people who do not have a bed to sleep on, especially our veterans, who have served to protect the rights we exercise every single day. At Make a Home, we are driven by the conviction that we can change these unsettling truths. Through our dedicated efforts, we strive to better our communities by providing essential items that make a significant difference in daily lives. Our work is not just about giving furniture; it's about restoring dignity, providing comfort, and creating a foundation for a better future. We believe in the power of community and the importance of coming together to support one another, and we are proud to lead this mission with your generous support.
We help Veterans and families in need by providing household furnishings. Our furniture donations program allows us to brighten the lives of the people in need by bringing dignity, self-respect and promoting success into their new start. We do this while reducing the environmental footprint by keeping discarded furnishings out of our local landfills.
